The beloved Special Projects return to the 32nd SCHMS, renewed and more dynamic than ever.
The goal of the Special Projects team remains to explore medicine beyond its strict scientific boundaries, to engage with diverse activities and disciplines, and to create moments of enjoyment through initiatives that offer a pleasant break from the conference presentations.
In the spirit of discovering the many facets of medicine and promoting social interaction among students, the Special Projects will include initiatives that foster free expression and creativity, collaboration, and volunteerism.
With the continued support and presence of our Sponsors and Partners, a dedicated Special Projects area will be set up, offering participants a wide range of activities such as:
- Open Discussions, an initiative designed to encourage dialogue, active participation, and the connection between Medicine and critical social issues.
- Escape Rooms, in collaboration with Medscape, where participants will solve medical mysteries.
- Debates among students on pressing issues of current medical interest.
- Interactive games/projects inspired by familiar quiz-show formats, aiming to entertain and promote teamwork while linking medical knowledge with play.
Of course, returning to the 32nd SCHMS are the Medathlon, the medical-themed photography contest, as well as information booths on bone marrow donation and awareness, prevention, and education on key medical topics.
We invite you to be part of the 32nd SCHMS and its Special Projects, taking place on April 24–26 2026, where knowledge meets creativity, and Medicine explores new horizons.
